Leadership Development
The Word is filled with examples of leadership and mentoring. Elijah mentored Elisha, and Elisha’s ministry was double that of his teacher. Moses mentored Joshua, and Joshua took Israel to the next level. Peter mentored Mark, while Paul mentored Timothy. “The things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).
Every ministry endeavor requires leadership. Without leadership, ministry dies. Leadership development is important because the Bible teaches leadership, thus, we teach leadership skill and principles based on the Bible. For years, Tommy and Poppi Smith have taught and mentored students from the Bethel Seminary who have gone on to serve as pastors, leaders, teachers, and workers, spreading the message of the Gospel throughout Indonesia and beyond!
